Considering all of the recent attention given to the National Alliance on this page, perhaps it would be appropriate for me to direct you to my lengthy, excruciatingly detailed examination of William Pierce, founder of the NA. This piece was written a while back, and doesn’t cover all of the recent developments within the group. Having said that, it’s still a useful exploration of the beliefs of a man who was probably the biggest single influence on American white supremacist thinking in the last forty years.

Thanks for the links. A sleazy tale indeed. I remember reading about this last year when it happened. Poor Rev. Butler died shortly afterwards. This just goes to show how far some people will go to find a peer group. Of course, that’s the reason most of the people who join extremist groups are there to start with, but that’s another article.
